The GCAP radio broadcast conglomerate asked Atomic Arts to create nine separate four-minute pieces for their state of the art holographic viewing theatre. These showcase their flagship stations, including Capital Radio , Classic FM and Xfm. Acting as a total solution, Atomic led the project from the start, delivering concepts, then scripting, designing, storyboarding, directing and producing the live action. We created all the virtual elements, compositing and final Musion holographic output - ending up with over 30 minutes of content, all at HD resolution.
The Capital Radio piece, featured here, involved a fresh look at London through an animated pop-up book. The imagery was hand-drawn and animated, then textured onto the 3d animation of the book, to create the illusion of a massive pop-up book floating in space in front of you. Classic FM involved shooting Myleene Klass against green screen and then compositing her into a 3d set with classic themes. In the theatre, life size and so life like, she seems to actually be there.
