I plan to start on April 1st - April Fool's Day (how apt)
I expect to make Newhaven that day, then board the yacht, and set sail that evening to arrive in France (Le Havre) hopefully the next evening... then I will cycle loose from then. I have allowed a month for the whole journey, but hope to complete it faster than that...
Here are some towns with railway stations I will be passing & the rough dates I expect to pass them. It is worth noting that I am doing no training for this journey (excepting the odd commute into work) and so have no idea how fast (or how far…) i will go. Argentan. Alencon. La Suze Sur Sarthe. Once I reach my final destination I plan to go to Ibiza on the ferry from Denia (40Km from the final destination) for a few days rest, before ferrying back to Barcelona, where I will catch a sleeper train to Paris & the Eurostar home.
If anyone has any contacts along the route of places to stay (They need to be pretty close to the 0 degree line to avoid extra travelling) then I'd be very grateful for the connection!
